Every Fashion Students dream upon graduating
is to ultimately start their own brand in hopes of
being a household name.  Design duo
 Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor
achieved this goal in the late 90's and early 2000's
with the launch of their brand Juicy Couture.
The brand was acquired  by
Fifth & Pacific Companies, Inc. in 2003.

This acquisiton  ended in a take over by
investors which lead to the duo walking away
from their label(every designers worst nightmare).
Some designers who have lost their brands to take
overs include Kate Spade by Kate Valentine and
American Apparel by Dov Charney
The Duo tried to buy back Juicy  at one point and
were unfortunately unsuccessful.  Fast Foward to 2016-2017 with
a collaboration between Vetments and Juicy couture ,
the track suit is back in the market.

Will the launch of this collection  be as successful
as the collections by Pam and Gela, Juicy in the early 2000's?
You can still check out original
designs from the master minds behind Juicy Couture at their
name sake label Pam & Gela.
